Legal information

Privacy Policy

What data we process about you, why, for how long and what you can do about it. With as little legalese as possible.

In effect from 1 July 2026 · version 2026-07-01

1. Who the controller is

The controller of your personal data is Alexandr Novotný, with its registered office at Jiránkova 1136/4, Řepy, 163 00 Praha, Company ID (IČO) 04391527 — that is, the operator of Statek pod Moníncem.

On matters of personal data you can reach us at info@statekmoninec.cz. We have not appointed a data protection officer — we don't have to.

2. When you send an enquiry

From the booking form we process your name, e-mail, phone, dates, number of people and your note — plus a record of when and with which version of the terms you agreed.

Legal basis: negotiating a contract and performing it (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without this data we cannot confirm your booking.

We keep it for 3 years from the stay or from the last communication — because of any disputes arising from the booking.

3. When you stay with us — the register required by law

As an accommodation provider we have a statutory obligation to keep a register of guests. We record the name and surname, address, date of birth, number and type of identity document, the duration of the stay and the amount of the tourist fee.

You can fill in the details online in advance via a secure link we email you — it is meant only for your reservation. This changes neither the legal basis nor the retention period.

Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) under Section 3g of Act No. 565/1990 Coll., on local fees, and, for foreign nationals, under Section 101 of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the residence of foreign nationals.

In addition, we report the accommodation of a foreign national to the Foreign Police within 3 working days, as Section 102 of the same Act requires of us.

We must keep the register and the house book for 6 years from the last entry. We cannot shorten that.

We pass aggregate data on the number of people and nights to the municipality because of the tourist fee.

4. Accounting

Deposits, balance payments and receipts we process because of accounting and tax obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) and keep them for the period laid down by law — for accounting documents usually 5 years, for documents under the VAT Act 10 years.

5. Who gets to see the data

We don't sell the data and don't pass it on to anyone for their own purposes. It is, however, handled by the technical services that run the website and the bookings:

  • Convex — the booking database
  • Resend — sending confirmation e-mails
  • Vercel — running the website
  • Clerk — logging in to the administration
  • Google (Tag Manager) and Meta (Pixel) — traffic measurement and advertising

Some of them process data outside the EU (particularly in the USA). The transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

We also pass data to the Foreign Police and to the municipality of Sedlec-Prčice — in both cases because the law requires it of us.

6. Cookies and measurement

The website uses necessary cookies, without which it wouldn't work — they remember, for example, the language or the login to the administration. These always run.

We measure traffic through Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel, which store marketing cookies and send data about your visit to the companies Google and Meta. We only load them after you give us your consent in the banner shown on your first visit. If you don't consent, these scripts are never loaded at all.

You can change your decision at any time — . You can also delete cookies at any time directly in your browser.

7. Your rights

In relation to us you have the right to:

  • know what data we hold about you and receive a copy of it
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data erased — unless the law requires us to keep it
  • restrict the processing or object to it
  • receive your data in a machine-readable form

Write to us at info@statekmoninec.cz and we'll get back to you within a month at the latest.

One exception: the data in the register and the house book we cannot erase until the statutory six-year period has run out. That's not ill will on our part, but the law.

8. Complaint

If you don't like the way we handle your data, please tell us first. And if we don't put it right, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (Office for Personal Data Protection), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, uoou.gov.cz.
